Start of school
The 20th of august we sadly enough returned from the paradise at home or where ever you went to visit. At the start we were outside and listened to a  welcome back speech by Katrin our wonderful principle. Then we went inside to our new classroom and said hello to to our classmates. After we said hello to our classmates we looked at some papers that our parents had to read like allergies if your aloud to be with on photos videos and so on. We are getting into the schedule but it is still very messy. Then we did our expectation of fifth grade for ex. I want to learn more about math.

                                        "Our  class room"

We moved one floor down because it echoed. It is  bigger than the last one. It's more organised and the new class room has more fancier tables. We have a bigger board. Our teacher is really nice. We have a ear that tells us when we are too loud, green is good, yellow is warning, red is danger. We are on the 3th floor and we have a nice view. We have new seats and we have six taller tables in the back. We have a map that is really big and it's over the board. We had a little change now we sign ourself in every day. We love our new class room it's awesome.

5b's teachers

This year we have gotten one new teacher! He is called Patrick and he teaches Swedish and SO. The teachers that we still have from fourth grade is Hillary, as our "main" teacher, Monica as our gym teacher, Agneta and Tord as our handy-crafts teachers and Thomas still as our music teacher.

Hillary teaches all our English, math and science. Monica teaches two lessons of gym every week, one lesson on Wednesday and one lesson on Friday. Agneta teaches sewing 1h and 20min on Wednesday with half of the class. Tord teaches woodwork to the other half at the same time on Wednesday. Ola teaches us art everyother monday instead of having Swedish with Patrick. Patrick is our new Swedish and Social studies teacher after Katarina left us to teach in grades 2 and 3.

Science
This year we are going to have science. In science we are going to have chemistry and learn more about the ear. Hillary went on a course to learn more about what we’re going to do. We don’t know when we are going to start but it will be fun. In the classroom we have a big blue in the box with the things were going to use in, but we don’t know what’s in the box.

Sewing Bookmarks
On Thursday we sewed bookmarks we made cool designs like happy faces. It was very fun. We had a substitute for Hillary because Hillary was at an NTA course. The substitute was Agneta our sewing teacher. We got a paper with small wholes in it you could pick between black paper or white paper. This is how they looked in the end.

Current EventsFOOTBALL
By Julian

So Malmö FF are through to Champions League. For you who do not what Champions League is the biggest football competition for top clubs. There are several countries in world that play football and in a country there are several club teams. Club teams are basically cities that start there own football club. For example England have Manchester United=Manchester. Arsenal=London. Liverpool FC=Liverpool. So basically some teams keep there name and add FC to the name which means "football club" anyways in every country there is one or more leagues in the leagues the teams from that country play and in England there are 4 leagues Barclays PL, NL Championship, Championship 1, and Champions 2. Barclays PL is the best league were the best teams in England play. And if you make it in the top of the league you will get promoted to a better league and if your last in the league you get relegated to a worse league. If your in the best league which is the Barclays PL and you make it in the top 3 you will come directly to Champions League which is a huge european tournament and if you come fourth you will have to fight against other clubs that did not come directly to Champions League. You play one game at your home arena and one game in your opponents arena the one with the most goals in aggregate goes to Champions League this is called "kval" in Swedish and since Sweden does not have such good league even if you come 1st you will still have to "kvala" and Malmö FF came 1st and they won the "kval" so now there in Champions League! Very big for the Swedish football fans. When you are officially through to Champions League they put you in a group stage. There are 8 groups in Champions League. Group A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H. Malmö FF are in group A with Galatasaray, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus. There are 4 teams in each group and the top 2 teams goes to the next round in Champions League.

Swimming

This week on Thursday we went swimming at “Vanadisbadet” to take a swimming test to see if someone needed to take swimming lessons. First we swam on our backs two laps (50 meters) and six laps on our tummy (150 meters).  If you wanted to take “klassikern” you had to swim eight laps (200 meters).
All together it was 400 meters and then you had taken the “klassiker”.

Democracy

In Swedish social studies we have star ted working on democracy. Democracy is when the people of the country are the ones that. Decide who will be their representative in Riksdan. In three weeks we will be having a big election here in Sweden ands hat is what most of our information is based on. We did an election in groups about who we think would win out of four groups. Then we learned about some different parties. The parties of Sweden are the ones we are voting on, here are some of them.

MATH GAMES

     By Oscar

On Thursday the class played a place value game. We where about five in each group and every person has a paper where it says hundred thousand, ten thousand, hundreds, tens and units. In the middle you have a container with numbers in it. Every group goes clockwise in the circle and we take turns to pick a number. The point is to get the highest number and the highest number is 9 and the lowest number is 5 and there's four of each number so if your lucky you might get the 9 some time.

Gym
---------------------------------------
We have gym on Wednesdays and Fridays. Our first gym lesson was a Friday and we played lots of different tag games and at the end of the lesson we wrote in our notebooks. Our notebooks are books that write what we have done during the lesson. Monica said that we should write what we want to get better at and something that we want to do the next lesson or any other lesson. On Wednesday we had to run around Vanadislunden 5 times. It is 500 meters around Vanadislunden Which means that we all ran 2.50 kilometers. We still have Monica as a teacher. Everyone in the class are glad that we still have Monica!
